What are ROBOT Entries?
ROBOT Entries are found and compiled using our own METAm8 state of the art web geo-locating classifying and aggregating spider.
The sole mission of this spider and hence the site itself is to supply site visitors with highly accurate manipulable results from triply or quadrupaly qualified searches. It is our observation that the majority of serious searches are thus qualified and that existing web available search resources are seriously inadequate in this regard.
Specifically, the METAm8/geolocator-classifier-collator spider attempts to assign the following information for each website or webpage it visits:
- a geographic location.
- a primary and multiple secondary classifications (as appropriate).
- additional cataloguing attributes.
These assignments are based on the content of the target site or its referring sources with specific focus on key attributes such as its title, description, keywords, url and incoming link contexts. Of course, the degree to which the spider succeeds in these assignments is dependent on the quality of information available to it from the sources it finds.
The spider is also capable of combining and enhancing selective attributes of existing ROBOT Entries as it encounters fresh information from alternative sources - hence its collation function. Where appropriate such supplementary referring sources are also credited with footnote listing links.
Classification is based on a thesaurus of weighted synonym and antonym patterns in-built into the underlying repository information model. This model also supports site search functionality by a combination of pre-indexing and ad-hoc query generation technologies. The information model is under constant enhancement improving the breadth and accuracy of existing entry classifications with each re-scan.
The Site indexing technologies already support searches with varying granularity of focus. E.g. An entry will match broader searches both geographically and in terms of subject matter which encompass its specific location, classification and content. Our search technologies uniquely apply specific significance to geographic and synonym relationships between search criteria and selected results. For this reason our results exhibit significantly higher relevance and accuracy than most contemporary alternative automated systems including search engines.
